One such planner that is an industry veteran is Terry Cosentino. Terry is the Director of Event Marketing for Information Builders, which provides software and services that transform data into business value. Terry has been with Information Builders for over 30 years and knows a thing or two about holding meetings and the value a positive meeting experience can have on his attendees.
Recently we spoke with Terry about his experience holding a meeting in the Reno-Sparks, Nevada area. SUZZANNE: Tell us, what does your job entail?
TERRY: My job entails a lot, but the most important aspect is that I handle securing the conference location and working on the overall operation of the conference.
SUZZANNE: What is one of your significant job challenges that working with Reno-Sparks CVA helped you solve?
TERRY: I would say they really helped me with overcoming the perception that there are not enough airline routes to get to Reno-Sparks. It was something that I was worried about, but the Reno-Sparks CVA really was there with information and support.

SUZZANNE: What are some of the distinctive attributes/destination offerings of Reno-Sparks that helped to make your meeting great?
TERRY: There were a lot, but I would say ease of airport location to conference site, overall price to hold a conference there and proximity to Lake Tahoe are my top picks.
SUZZANNE: How would you describe the relationship you have with the CVB? What would you compare it to?
TERRY: My relationship to the CVB was strong. I looked towards them as a partner throughout the meeting process.

TERRY: Yes, we held an event over at the Reno Ballpark, which was a really great spot and added to the overall experience.
